Happy New Year!

The 33rd Vienna New Year’s Eve Trail was a great success! A heartfelt thank you to all the visitors who celebrated the start of 2025 with us.

Great entertainment, all night long

Vienna New Year’s Eve Trail, one of the largest New Year’s Eve celebrations in Europe, is the perfect place to look back on the past year, toast to the future and to welcome the new year in a boisterous manner together. Eight locations – Rathausplatz, Freyung, Am Hof, Graben, Stephansplatz, Kärntner Straße, Neuer Markt and Winter Market at Riesenradplatz in Prater – are part of the spectacle this year and offer a diverse music and entertainment program that combines numerous genres: pop and rock can be found as well as blues, funk and soul or groove. You can also dance into the New Year to disco sounds, Caribbean and Latin American rhythms and DJ beats.

Music for the eyes

Each stage will also have a visual jockey. On the large LED screens, video artists will build an impressive world of images, create artistic animations in real time and draw a visual background for the musical performances on the Viennese New Year’s Eve Trail through the fascinating illusion of light.

Known & beloved

Of course the 33rd edition of Vienna’s largest open-air New Year’s Eve party respected cherished traditions. People turned and swang in rousing three-four time at the waltz courses at the Graben, while the youngest guests were looking forward to a wonderful entertainment programme.
